How you'll make an impact

Development, maintenance, and operation of business-critical insurance applications on the IBM i platform using RPG (RPG III, RPG/ILE, RPG/Free)
Ensuring stable, efficient, and secure operation of core systems
2nd-level support for IBM i applications
Analyzing errors, identifying development needs, implementing fixes and enhancements, and presenting results and solutions to business departments
Translating business requirements into technical concepts and ensuring smooth implementation

What it takes to succeed in this role

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification, along with several years of experience in RPG development and operation of business applications
Strong knowledge of RPG (RPG III, RPG/ILE, RPG/Free), IBM Db2 for i, SQL, and web services
Experience with database design, system integration, and service-oriented architectures
Knowledge of traditional development models (Waterfall) and ITIL is an advantage
Strong analytical skills and high problem-solving competence
Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Strong commitment to delivering high-quality work
Excellent communication skills in English and/or German

Entwicklung, Wartung und Betrieb geschäftskritischer Versicherungsanwendungen auf der IBM i Plattform mit RPG (RPG III, RPG/ILE, RPG/Free)
Sicherstellung eines stabilen, effizienten und sicheren Betriebs der Kernsysteme
2nd-Level-Support für IBM i Anwendungen
Analyse von Fehlern, Identifikation von Programmierbedarfen, Umsetzung von Korrekturen und Erweiterungen sowie Präsentation von Ergebnissen und Lösungen gegenüber Fachbereichen
Übersetzung fachlicher Anforderungen in technische Konzepte und Sicherstellung einer reibungslosen Implementierung

Wann du zu uns passt

Abgeschlossenes Studium der Informatik, Informationstechnologie oder vergleichbare Qualifikation sowie mehrjährige Erfahrung in der RPG-Entwicklung und im Betrieb von Business-Applikationen
Fundierte Kenntnisse in RPG (RPG III, RPG/ILE, RPG/Free), IBM Db2 for i, SQL und Web Services
Erfahrung mit Datenbankdesign, Systemintegration und serviceorientierten Architekturen
Kenntnisse klassischer Entwicklungsmodelle (Waterfall), ITIL von Vorteil
Ausgeprägte analytische Fähigkeiten und hohe Problemlösungskompetenz
Fähigkeit, technische Themen verständlich an nicht-technische Stakeholder zu vermitteln
Hoher Qualitätsanspruch an die eigenen Arbeitsergebnisse.
Sehr gute Kommunikationsfähigkeit auf Englisch und/oder Deutsch
