How you'll make an impact
- Functional and process responsibility for defined areas within Group Accounting of our Sales Company (Toyota Insurance Management SE), in compliance with German commercial and tax law as well as IFRS.
- Perform monthly closing entries and consolidations at the corporate level, including the validation and documentation of the holding company's business transactions.
- Prepare group reports in accordance with IFRS 17 for the parent company in Japan.
- Verify the mappings of local accounts to group-wide accounts and perform data quality and posting checks at the branches (off-site/on-site).
- Serve as the central point of contact for the finance departments of the branches as well as internal interfaces to other corporate centers like Tax or FP&A.
- Actively participate in finance projects, particularly the implementation of AI tools and the further digitization and automation of processes.
What it takes to succeed in this role
- University degree with a focus on accounting or business administration, or professional career as a certified accountant.
- Several years of relevant professional experience in finance and accounting at financial services providers, with in-depth experience in consolidation and cost allocation in an international context.
- Professional experience in an international Sales Organisation and in insurance intermediation is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 products, particularly Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint, as well as an understanding of IT processes and AI tools.
- Ability to work independently and strong commitment, as well as loyalty, reliability, and discretion.
- A proactive, eager-to-learn personality with the motivation to contribute your own ideas and optimize processes.
- English on a negotiation level. Fluent German or another European language is a plus.
